About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Logistics Specialist to manage end-to-end international logistics operations, primarily focusing on U.S. import shipments. The role involves coordinating ocean freight, drayage, road transportation, customs clearance, and shipment documentation to ensure the timely and cost-effective movement of goods.

The ideal candidate should be organized, detail-oriented, and experienced in coordinating with overseas vendors, carriers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate end-to-end logistics operations for U.S. import shipments
• Manage ocean freight, drayage, FTL and LTL road freight, and customs clearance
• Track shipments proactively and ensure timely delivery
• Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, carriers, and international vendors
• Resolve shipment delays, documentation discrepancies, and transit-related issues
• Maintain accurate shipping documentation, including bills of lading, invoices, packing lists, and HS codes
• Collaborate with procurement, production, and operations teams to align delivery timelines
• Review freight costs and recommend cost-optimization opportunities
• Prepare shipment status updates and logistics performance reports
• Identify operational gaps and recommend improvements to logistics processes
• Remain available for coordination across different time zones when required

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field
• 3–5 years of experience in logistics or supply chain coordination
• Experience managing international shipments, preferably U.S. imports
• Strong knowledge of freight terms, customs procedures, and international shipping documentation
• Experience coordinating with overseas vendors, freight partners, and clients
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
• High attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple shipments simultaneously
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets
• Familiarity with ERP or logistics management systems will be an advantage
