Household Manager / Family Assistant

Location: Kaysville, Utah area
Pay: $20-30/hour, depending on experience
Schedule: Part-time | Flexible weekday hours, ideally around 10:30 a.m.–2:30 p.m.

We are a busy family looking for a dependable, proactive Household Manager / Family Assistant to help keep our home and family life running smoothly. This role is led by meal prep and is ideal for someone who enjoys cooking, organizing, and taking ownership of the everyday details that make a household function well.

We already have a housekeeper who handles deep cleaning. This position is focused on meal preparation, light household resets, organization, errands, and anticipating what needs to be done.

Primary Responsibilities

Meal Prep & Grocery Management

• Plan and prepare healthy, family-friendly meals
• Prepare dinner and make-ahead meals
• Prep lunches, snacks, fruits and vegetables
• Grocery shop and keep household staples stocked
• Clean and reset the kitchen after meal preparation

Household Management

• Light cleanup, tidying and straightening of common areas
• Change bedding and linens
• Keep household supplies stocked and organized
• Organize closets, drawers, pantry and other household spaces
• Put away household purchases and deliveries
• Help maintain simple organizational systems throughout the home

Errands & Family Support

• Grocery and household shopping
• Returns and exchanges
• Dry cleaning, shipping and donation drop-offs
• Pick up household items and run miscellaneous errands
• Assist with occasional household projects as needed
  
  

Who We're Looking For

We are looking for someone who is trustworthy, organized, dependable and naturally proactive. The ideal person doesn't need to be given a detailed list every day—they notice what needs attention and take care of it.

You should be a confident home cook, comfortable working independently, detail-oriented, and someone who genuinely enjoys creating order and making life easier for a busy family.

Previous experience as a household manager, family assistant, personal assistant, professional organizer, nanny, or in hospitality is helpful but not required.

The goal of this role is simple: help make our home run smoothly so that when the family comes home, meals are prepared, the house feels reset and organized, and the everyday details have been handled.
