WHAT YOU GET TO DO

The Mechanical Installation Supervisor is responsible for the supervision of the mechanical contractors and Mechanical Installations Technicians during installation, repair and/or upgrading of Knapp conveyor systems on assigned projects. The Mechanical Installations Supervisor will train and lead contractors and ensure they stay on schedule and on task. Occasionally, Employee will need to assist the contractors in completing tasks and install Knapp equipment with the help of the temporary workers.

Essential Tasks and Responsibilities:         

  • Ensure execution of assigned projects
  • Train and guide contractors on Knapp’s installation method
  • Ensure contractors maintain Knapp and Customer policies
  • Ensure contractors maintain project schedule
  • Ensure contractors adhere to appropriate U.S. standard of installation and safety equipment guidelines
  • Communicate daily progress and safety reports to Installation Coordinator and Site Manager
  • Ensure contractors maintain installation staff and time reporting schedules
  • Read mechanical drawings; be familiar with current state and local codes for mechanical work
  • Ensure installation meets Knapp and Customer quality standards
  • Complete appropriate documentation for contractors’ evaluation
