CPV Manufacturing, an industrial valve manufacturer located in Kennett Square, PA, is looking for a Valve Assembler to join our team.  This position is focused on producing valves and valve components.  At CPV, there is an opportunity for everyone to make a big impact on our success, and this position is critical in our operation.  We are proud of our products and even more proud of our team!  We offer a generous PTO and holiday schedule, comprehensive benefits package, tuition reimbursement, and a Monday through Friday 6:30am - 3:15pm schedule.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Review the work order traveler, assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists to assemble valves and other components
  • Clean valve and fitting assembly components following requirements that are called out
  • Visually inspect components for defects prior to assembly
  • Assemble product following engineering drawings, work instructions, and bill of materials
  • Conduct pressure test on assembled valves to verify they meet requirements
  • Record assembly and testing data using ISO 9001 documentation practices
  • Maintain tools and equipment, including preventative maintenance
  • Maintain safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations
  • Helps to maintain assembly area supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies and notifying supervisor when levels are low
  • Work in the cleanroom when required, following all cleanroom procedures to assemble product in that environment
  • Cross-train in other departments as needed
  • Additional duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma, technical education a plus
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Attention to detail
  • Able to read basic blueprints
  • Proficient in use of mechanical tools and measuring devices
  • Quality focus

 Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

  • Work environment is on the plant floor
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Noise may be moderate to loud
  • Must be able to wear proper PPE
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds
