The Birthday Party Associate works with their supervisor to create a fun and engaging birthday at the YMCA.  Engages with parents and children in a positive way in both Child Watch and during birthday parties to further the mission of the YMCA of Greater Brandywine.         Who Are We?   The YMCA of Greater Brandywine (YGBW) was named a 2025 Top Workplace by The Philadelphia Inquirer for a second consecutive year. Employee Assistance Program Continuing education reimbursement, tuition discounts with Chestnut Hill College and Immaculata University Career development and paid training Unlimited referral bonus beginning at $300     What You’ll Do   Oversee the safety and whereabouts of the children in the group at all times, providing a safe, interactive program.   Maintain a clean and risk-free room arrangement.   Maintain records, including, (but not limited to): accident and incident reports, sign in/out   sheets, attendance records.   Greet parents and children daily using names in all interactions.   Report and/or direct parental concerns to supervisor.  Use positive, age-appropriate behavior management tools, including redirection and positive reinforcement, using the Y voice at all times.     Ensure compliance with all YGBW policies and standard operating procedures.   Perform other related duties as assigned.  QualificationsWhat You'll Need   High school diploma or GED preferred   Must be at least 15 years of age or older   Experience with children preferred   Obtain and maintain all additional new hire certifications and trainings within 90 days of hire      Work Conditions and Physical Demands   The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
