Job DetailsJob Location: Kenosha YMCA - Kenosha, WI 53144Position Type: Part TimeHELP STUDENTS LEARN, GROW & THRIVE Do you enjoy working with children and creating a place where they feel supported, included and excited to be? The Kenosha YMCA is looking for a School-Age Childcare Lead Teacher to help create a fun, safe and engaging before and after school experience for children ages 5–12 at The Kenosha YMCA. What You'll Do    Plan, conduct, and participate in recreational activities with the group. Ensure health and safety of each youth. Greet parents upon arrival pick up/drop off. Maintain site, equipment, and supplies. Assist with the supervision of guest teachers/intern, if applicable. Prepare provided food daily. Ensure all children are accounted for including youth in extra-curricular activities. Participate in training sessions and staff meetings as scheduled. Sub at other School Age sites or in the Early Childhood Program as necessary. Qualifications Must be 18 years old Required to keep Pediatric First Aid, CPR, and AED Certificate current Must have at least 240 hours experience as an Assistant Teacher in a group or child care center or equivalent. Must meet Wisconsin state licensing qualifications as a childcare teacher/lead teacher Experience working with children Willingness to learn state licensing childcare regulations and procedures for Group Day Care Centers Ability to work cooperatively with youth, parents, staff and community organizations Ability to work with general supervision Maintain a valid driver’s license Background check cannot contain offenses restricted by state law Employee Benefits Include: Free Family YMCA Membership Supportive Team YMCA Program Discounts Child Care Discount The Kenosha YMCA is a not-for-profit that meets qualifications for Public Service Loan Forgiveness programming.
