Job DetailsJob Location: Kenosha YMCA - Kenosha, WI 53144Position Type: Part TimeBE A PART OF SOMETHING GREAT This position supports the work of the YMCA, a leading nonprofit, charitable organization committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. Responsible for instructing sports fundamentals including basic skills, sport rules and strategy, as well as sportsmanship and teamwork in a fun and safe environment. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:   Be willing to set up necessary equipment needed for a sports program or game. Teach with enthusiasm and always encourage the kids to learn and celebrate their accomplishments. When teaching a sports program, make contact with students’ parents to update them on their progress. This should be accomplished at least 4 times during an 8-week session. Be prepared with class curriculum for each class. Prepare and include "mission moment" for each class. Take attendance at the beginning of each class from an issued roster. Notify supervisors of any discrepancies. Help with other duties assigned by the Sports Director. Instructors must find a substitute when they are ill or on vacation.      Fill out accident/incident reports as needed. Other duties as assigned. Sign In/Out accurately on time sheet and turn in time sheet according to deadlines set on payroll schedule. Able to work with children of all abilities. Qualifications  16 yrs (or older) with valid Work Permit 1-3 years experience with sport assigned Ability to control up to 10 youths aged 2-18yrs in a sports program First Aid and CPR/AED Certification Ability to resolve issues in professional manner. Experience working with children preferred.
