Journeyman Electrician

Location: Kent, WA (Serving the Greater Puget Sound Region)

Department: Production

Reports To: Rock Electric General Manager



Position Overview

PCF Construction Group is raising the standard for premium outdoor living, and we're looking for an experienced Journeyman Electrician to help us continue delivering exceptional residential projects throughout the Pacific Northwest. This position is ideal for a motivated self-starter who enjoys working independently, communicates effectively with customers and teammates, and is committed to producing high-quality work while maintaining a safe and professional jobsite.



Key Responsibilities

Electrical Installation & Service

  • Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair residential electrical systems.

  • Perform electrical work for remodels, additions, outdoor living spaces, patio covers, hot tubs, lighting, EV chargers, and other residential projects.

  • Read and interpret blueprints, electrical plans, and specifications.

  • Ensure all work complies with the National Electrical Code (NEC), local jurisdictions, and company quality standards.

Project Execution

  • Manage assigned projects from start to finish while maintaining high-quality workmanship.

  • Coordinate with project managers, production teams, inspectors, and homeowners.

  • Identify and resolve issues efficiently while maintaining project schedules.

  • Maintain accurate documentation and communicate project progress.

Safety & Professionalism

  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures.

  • Maintain clean, organized, and professional jobsites.

  • Properly maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment.

  • Represent PCF Construction Group and Rock Electric professionally with customers and trade partners.

Customer Experience

  • Build trust with homeowners through excellent communication and professionalism.

  • Keep customers informed throughout each phase of the project.

  • Deliver a customer experience that reflects PCF's commitment to quality and integrity.



Qualifications

Required

  • Active Washington State Journeyman Electrician License (01 or qualifying residential license as applicable).

  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

  • Reliable transportation and current automobile insurance.

  • Strong understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC).

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and customer service skills.

  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.

  • High level of accountability and professionalism.

  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in varying weather conditions.

  • Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background check.

Preferred

  • Residential construction or remodeling experience.

  • Experience with outdoor living electrical systems, hot tubs, landscape lighting, generators, or EV chargers.

  • HVAC installation, service, or electrical troubleshooting experience is a plus. 

  • Active Washington State Electrical Administrator Certificate (or ability to obtain one). 

  • Experience leading projects or mentoring apprentices.

  • Familiarity with Buildertrend or similar construction management software.
