Inpatient Foresnics Psychiatrist

Saratoga Ascend has an amazing opportunity for an Inpatient Forensic Psychiatrist at the Kerrville State Hospital, Kerrville, TX. We offer a W-2 pay option with PTO and paid holidays or an IC (1099) pay option. Medical, dental, vision and retirement plans are available. Would relocation be an option for you? Some minimum qualifications include:

- Active Texas Medical License (Texas Medical Board, no sanctions)

- Active DEA certification

- Must be credentialed with hospitals utilized by the facility

- AHA-approved CPR certification (maintained throughout)

Scope of work:

- Inpatient forensic psychiatric hospital setting, Texas NGRI population

- Leads multidisciplinary team, ~24 patient average caseload

- 1-2 admissions/discharges per month

- Physician court paperwork and testimony responsibility

- QI project involvement (quarterly QSO chart reviews)

- Medical staff meetings, collaborates with staff NPs

Hours: 40 hours/week, Mon-Fri 8AM-5PM, no after-hours or weekend call

Term: Immediate start upon approval; 6 months with option to extend
