Job Details: Job Location: Killington Resort - Killington, VT, Position Type: Full-Time Year Round, Salary Range: $24.00 - $25.20Hourly, Job Category: Mountain Operations, Compensation and Benefits:  Compensation: Hourly wage, adjusted based on experience.  Benefits: Full-time, year-round, benefited position including:  Optional company subsidized medical, dental, vision, flexible spending account, health savings account, employer paid short term disability & long-term disability offerings  401(k) retirement plan (with company match up to 5%)  Paid parental leave  Paid time off, holiday and sick pay  Free season pass for employee/dependents  Privileges at several other resorts  Several discount programs (i.e. food & beverage, retail/rental, friends & family tickets, etc.) Job Summary: The Lift Electrician is primarily responsible for ski lift electrical maintenance, both preventative and unscheduled, working closely with the Lift Maintenance team. The position will also work on snowmaking systems and assist with other electrical maintenance throughout the resort as the need arises. This is a challenging position in an outside environment that typically includes the use of snowmobiles and ATV’s, climbing ski lift towers and servicing on-mountain systems in all weather conditions. Qualifications: Basic Qualifications:  Valid driver's license  3+ years’ experience in electrical field or equivalent education and/or experience.  Strong interpersonal communication and guest service skills.  Ability to work independently and as part of a team.  Able to commit to working weekends and holidays during the operating season.  Comfortable working in extreme mountain weather conditions. Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:  Knowledge of ski lift electrical operation and controls  Familiarity with analog, digital and PLC controls interfacing low and high voltage systems to operate ski lifts and snowmaking systems  Journeyman electrical license  Familiarity with National Electrical Code, Vermont Tramway Regulations and ANSII B.77 code  Knowledge AC variable speed drives, DC motors, DC variable speed drives, battery powered low voltage 24VDC controls  Diagnose, repair and maintenance of electrical systems and equipment  Must be able to climb chairlift towers to troubleshoot/repair equipment at heights up to 70 feet  Have working knowledge of electrical and electronic control/sensor devices and their functions, testing and installation  Be able to operate a snowmobile safely and respond to stopped lift issues quickly and efficiently in all types of weather conditions  Must maintain OSHA requirements, as well as the National Electric Codes  Troubleshooting skills using electrical testing equipment to diagnose problems  Must be comfortable with the changing dynamics of a seasonal business  Other duties as assigned It is the policy of Killington/Pico Ski Resort Partners, LLC to provide equal opportunity and employment to all staff and applicants.  No person shall be discriminated against in any condition of employment because of race, color, religion, ancestry, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, place of birth, age, physical or mental condition, or any qualified individual with a disability or veteran status. Work where you play - Apply now!
