RAYUS Radiology is looking for a Paramedic to join our team. We are challenging the status quo by shining light on radiology and making it a critical first step in diagnosis and proper treatment. Come join us and shine brighter together! As a Paramedic, you will be responsible for assisting with patient care and provides support to patients, families and Center team members.
This is a temporary (PRN) position, working variable shifts. We offer PRN pay on all hours worked.
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

(95%) Paramedic Responsibilities
  1. Prepares patients for imaging procedures- lab work, changing clothing, IV's, vital signs, etc.
  2. Reviews patient history and complete appropriate consents forms as needed
  3. Administers medication according to protocols and clinic guidelines, under guidance of Radiologist
  4. Utilizes competent IV start skills
  5. Participates in an efficient workflow to assist keeping CT/MRI on schedule
  6. Maintains stock in drug box
  7. Evaluates and assists with emergency procedures- contrast reactions, code situations
  8. Maintains clean and stocked work environment
  9. Completes required administrative duties, including use of clocking system, completing CD requests, billing sheets
  10. Projects professional attitude to all customers/patients at all times
  11. Maintains good interpersonal working relationships at all times
  12. Notifies team leader if stock items are needed
  13. Assists with training new staff as requested ensuring a positive learning experience
  14. Assists with proper patient preparation
  15. Assures proper documentation in the RIS system
(5%) Other Duties and Projects as Assigned
Qualifications

Required:

  1. High School Diploma, or equivalent
  2. Graduate of a Committee on Accreditation of Educational Programs for the Emergency Medical Services Professions (CoAEMSP) approved paramedic education program (or an education program that has been issued a CoAEMSP "Letter of Review") that meets or exceeds the National Emergency Medical Services Education Standards for Paramedic, January 1, 2013, and after
  3. Certified Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) AND Paramedic, current and in good standing, by the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT)
  4. State licensed/certified Paramedic as applicable, current and in good standing
  5. Two (2) years' experience in the emergency medical field, or four (4) years' experience in transport services
  6. Experienced and skilled in starting patient IVs
  7. Certification in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation)
  8. Certification in ACLS (Advance Cardiac Life Support)
  9. Current Tuberculosis (TB) test

  1. Bilingual
