The instructor promotes health and wellness by providing quality aquatic exercise instruction while ensuring a positive and safe environment for all participants.       Essential Responsibilities/Duties: Conduct scheduled aqua fitness classes, beginning and ending on time, while providing appropriate warm-up, cardiovascular exercise, strength training, and cool-down activities. Demonstrate and instruct participants in proper aquatic exercise techniques. Modify exercises to accommodate varying fitness levels, physical abilities, and participant needs. Prepare and organize necessary equipment for each class. Ensure compliance with all facility policies, procedures, and aquatics safety standards. Maintain strong communication and interpersonal skills. Maintain a professional and positive attitude. Work cooperatively with other staff members and facility patrons Perform other duties as assigned QualificationsKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:   Current CPR, AED and First Aid certifications. Current Group Fitness, Aqua Fitness, Water Exercise, or related certifications. Knowledge of aquatic exercise principles, water safety practices, and health and wellness concepts. Ability to effectively lead group exercise classes in a safe, motivating manner. Ability to recognize and respond appropriately to emergency situations.
