THE OPPORTUNITY

 

TheChief Commercial Officer (CCO) leads the organization's overall commercial strategy,revenue growth, and market expansion by aligning sales, marketing, and customersuccess. The CCO is responsible for developing and executing the organisation’scommercial strategy to drive sustainable revenue growth, profitability, andmarket expansion. The successful candidate will combine strategic commercialleadership with strong market insight, customer focus, and operationalexecution capability.

 

Reportingto the Managing Director the CCO will work closely with the executive leadershipteam specifically the Product Officers and will oversee sales, businessdevelopment, marketing, partnerships, customer growth, and commercialoperations. KeyAccountabilities

 

CommercialStrategy

•                  Developand implement JN Bank’s commercial strategy and annual business plan alignedwith overall business objectives.

•                  Identifygrowth opportunities across new and existing markets, products, and customerniches.

•                  Partnerwith the Product Officers to drive revenue growth, profitability, and marketshare expansion.

•                  Leveragemarket trends analysis to undertake competitive positioning, and mitigatecommercial risks.

 

Sales& Revenue Growth

•                  Leadand optimize the sales function to achieve revenue targets and commercialobjectives set by the Product Officers

•                  Developscalable sales strategies, forecasting processes, and pipeline managementframeworks.

•                  Establish andmonitor sales KPIs, performance metrics, and reporting structures.

•                  Support keyaccount management and major commercial negotiations.

 

BusinessDevelopment & Partnerships

•                  Identifyand secure strategic partnerships, alliances, and commercial opportunities.

•                  Leadbusiness development initiatives and forge expansion into new markets orsectors.

•                  Buildand maintain strong relationships with key customers, stakeholders, andindustry partners.

•                  Supportmergers, acquisitions, or strategic growth opportunities where applicable.

 

Marketing & Customer Strategy

•                  Contributeto the development of the JN Bank marketing strategy, brand positioning, andcustomer acquisition initiatives.

•                  Ensurealignment between product owners. sales, marketing, and customer successfunctions.

•                  Enhance customerexperience, retention, and lifetime value strategies.

•                  Drivemarket awareness and strengthen the organisation’s competitive positioning.

 

CommercialOperations & Performance

•                  Improvecommercial processes, systems, and operational efficiency.

•                  Collaboratewith finance and operations teams on pricing strategies, forecasting, andbudgeting.

•                  Ensure commercialactivities align with financial and operational objectives.

•                  Usedata and analytics to inform decision-making and performance improvement.

 

Leadership& Team Development

•                  Build,lead, and develop high-performing commercial, sales, and marketing teams.

•                  Fostera collaborative, customer-focused, and performance-driven culture.

•                  Supportsuccession planning, talent development, and organisational capability growth.

•                  Promoteaccountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.

 

StakeholderEngagement

•                  Act as a seniorcommercial representative for the organisation externally.

•                  Buildrelationships with customers, investors, partners, and industry stakeholders.

•                  Presentcommercial performance and strategic initiatives to the executive team andBoard.

•                  Support investorand shareholder engagement activities where required.

 

Qualifications& experience

•                  MBA Marketing,Finance, Economics, or related field.

•                  Advancedcommercial qualification advantageous.

•                  Relevant industryor leadership certifications beneficial where applicable.

•                  10+years experience in senior commercial leadership roles such as Chief of RetailSales or Marketing Director.
