PositionTitle: Director, Finance

 

Base Salary: $145,000to $195,000 annually DOE

Bonus: Targetannual bonus

Job Summary

The Director, Finance willhelp scale a fast-growing company by serving as the financial planning andanalysis liaison with Bell Canada. The Director provides financial insights,modeling, and reporting to support Ziply’s U.S. fiber build and overalloperations. The role offers broad visibility across the organization and theopportunity to deliver insights that meaningfully impact the business. Theideal candidate is a team player with strong analytical and modeling skills whoenjoys solving complex problems.

Strategic Planning &Financial Leadership

·        Collaboratewith Ziply leadership team to drive the annual planning process includingfive-year plan, operating budget, capital budget, and company strategy.

·        Support Ziply operating expense and subsidiary FP&A function

·        AssessROI for capital expenditures and other business investments.

·        Providethorough and thoughtful financial analysis to drive better informeddecision-making.

 

Business Partnership &Reporting

·        Partnerwith business units to understand financial performance and develop/ implementaction plans to achieve objectives.

·        Partnerwith Accounting team in developing relevant and timely financial reporting forbusiness leaders.

 

Stakeholder Relations &Communication

·        Frequentlyprepare and present materials to senior Ziply and Bell Canada executives

·        Cultivateand sustain effective working relationships between Bell Canada and Ziply.

 

Confidentiality &Professional Judgment

·        Managesensitive information and exercise excellent judgement and discretion.

 

Other Duties

·        Performsother duties as required to support the business and evolving organization.

 

Required Qualifications:

·        Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, BusinessAdministration, or related field.

·        Minimumof ten (10) years’ experience in financial planning and analysis.

·        Minimumof five (5) years of people leadership experience, including managing anddeveloping high-performing teams.

·        Advancedproficiency in Microsoft Excel (including financial modeling) and MicrosoftPowerPoint for creating and delivering impactful presentations.

·        Experiencewith PowerBI, SQL, Alteryx, and Anaplan considered an asset for the role

·        Experiencewith treasury function considered an asset

·        Strongability to communicate complex financial models in a clear, simplified manner fordiverse audiences.

·        Hands-onand detailed oriented but also be able to see the big picture.

·        Collaborativeand service focused, comfortable working across all organizational levels.

·        Flexibleand adaptive in a rapidly changing environment.

·        Self-starterwith the ability to work independently and achieve desired performance metrics.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

·        Prior leadership experience within the telecommunicationsindustry.

Work Environment

Work is performed in an office setting withexposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer,keyboard, mouse, and multi-line telephone system. The work is primarily amodern office setting.
