Job Description

• Observes mechanical devices in operation and listens to locate cause of trouble
• Raises vehicle, with hydraulic jack or hoist, to gain access to mechanical units bolted to underside of vehicle.
• Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts
• Removes unit such as engine, transmission, or differential.
• Examines form and textures of parts to detect imperfection and dimensional requirements
• Disassembles unit and inspects parts for wear.
• Repairs or replaces parts such as pistons, rods, gears, valves, and bearings.
• Rewires ignition system, lights, and instrument panel.
• Install special functional and structural parts and devices
• Replaces and adjusts headlights, and installs and repairs accessories such as mirrors and tires
• Lubricate and clean parts
• Maintain golf carts and bicycles
• Start devices to test performance
• Keep daily log to track repairs
• Sets up and operates drill press, grinder, torches, welder and other metal working tools
• Keep a preventive maintenance program on both golf carts and bicycles
• Help guest with mechanical needs
