Verifies insurance coverage and obtains authorization for referrals as required. Communicates with patients regarding referral appointments and instructions. Maintains accurate records of referral requests and approvals. Conducts follow-up on pending referrals and ensures timely processing. Collaborates with medical staff to expedite urgent referrals when necessary. Provides assistance and support to patients navigating the referral process. Ensures compliance with HIPAA regulations and confidentiality policies. Inputs referral information into electronic health record systems accurately. Communicates with insurance companies or third-party payers to resolve referral-related issues. Assists with administrative tasks as needed in the referrals department Performs other duties as assigned.   Minimum Qualifications: High School diploma or GED from accredited institution. If the individual in the role will drive for work purposes, a current valid state driver's license and required minimum auto insurance coverage Cardiology practice experience is preferred but not required Working knowledge of EMR systems.   Why Choose Us?
