AEGIS is a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Doctoral Network recruiting 15 PhD candidates in computing and energy systems. AEGIS transforms Edge Data Centers from passive electrical loads into grid-interactive facilities that lower carbon emissions while meeting compute service objectives.
This page records an expression of interest, not a formal application. It helps AEGIS identify interested candidates and share their material with the relevant supervisor(s). Formal assessment and hiring will take place through the official vacancy at the host institution.

What we collect: the details and files you submit through this form, including name, email, CV, transcripts, cover letter, writing sample, code sample or repository link, and related notes. Please share only what is relevant. Do not include sensitive personal data, such as health information, religion, or political views, unless strictly necessary.
Purpose and legal basis: to assess your expression of interest and match it to AEGIS positions. The legal basis is your consent, GDPR Article 6(1)(a).
Who we share it with: with your consent, DTU may share your submission with the supervisor(s) and host institution(s) of the AEGIS position(s) you identify in your materials or later discuss with us. Host institutions are in the EU/EEA, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom.
Where it is stored: Zoho Recruit, in an EU data center.
How long we keep it: only until AEGIS recruitment is concluded, and no later than December 31, 2027, after which we delete it.
Your rights: you may access, correct, or delete your data, and withdraw consent at any time, by emailing aegis@compute.dtu.dk. You may also complain to a data protection authority, in Denmark the Danish Data Protection Agency: https://www.datatilsynet.dk/.

Requirements

Position selection: in your cover letter, state which AEGIS Doctoral Candidate (DC, PhD position) position(s) you apply for. If you apply to more than one position, give your order of preference. For each selected position, briefly explain why your background and interests are a good match. Please provide:
- A letter motivating the application (cover letter)
- Curriculum vitae
- Grade transcripts and BSc/MSc diploma in English, including the official description of the grading scale
- An example text written by you, such as a thesis chapter, report, paper, or substantial technical documentation
- An example code sample written by you, or a repository link with a short explanation of your contribution

AEGIS positions are funded as MSCA Doctoral Network doctoral-candidate positions.

According to the MSCA Work Programme 2023-2025, the researcher unit costs for Doctoral Networks include:
- Living allowance: EUR 4,010 per person-month. This gross amount is multiplied by the country correction coefficient of the recruiting host country.
- Mobility allowance: EUR 710 per person-month.
- Family allowance: EUR 660 per person-month, if applicable.
The final gross salary and net income depend on the host country, the host institution's employment rules, and compulsory deductions such as tax and social security. The official vacancy at each host institution will state the gross salary offered to the researcher.
Additional AEGIS and MSCA benefits include an employment contract with social security, enrollment in a doctoral program, supervision by academic and industrial researchers, funded secondments, transferable-skills training, and access to research, training, and networking activities funded by the project. Long-term leave and special-needs allowances may apply according to MSCA rules.
