Sits between the controlling team and the business. Turning financial data into business insight and business questions into financial analysis.
What this role entails:
Planning & Performance
• Owning the annual operating plan and maintaining it through the year with rolling reforecasts
• Tracking actuals vs plan explaining variances, flagging what needs a decision
• Monthly performance packs for business, collections and marketing teams with clear commentary
Business Partnering
• Finance counterpart for business, collections and marketing teams present in their reviews, across their decisions
• Modelling unit economics, breakeven and scenarios for pricing and product calls
• Finding and closing revenue leakages billing gaps, pricing anomalies, uncollected dues
Cost Optimisation
• Tracking costs at a granular level by function, channel and vendor
• Identifying inefficiencies and working with function heads to size and close them
• Building cost visibility by driver, vendor and unit metric level
Analytics & Dashboards
• Building and maintaining dashboards covering portfolio performance, acquisition costs, collection efficiency and cost trends
• Ensuring MIS packs are insightful and detailed.
• Ad hoc analysis — new product assessments, lender economics, cost deepdives
Skills and background
• CA or MBA Finance with 3-4 years of experience in FP&A, business finance or analytics in a lending or fintech firm
• NBFC commercial and financial context is essential
• Strong in Excel clean, auditable, usable by others
• Exposure to BI tools ability to build and maintain dashboards independently
• High ownership
