JobDescription:
· TheQuality Control Officer / Site Safety & Health Officer (QC/SSHO) isresponsible for ensuring that all construction activities comply with contractrequirements, applicable codes, project specifications, quality standards, andsafety regulations.
· Thisposition oversees project quality control processes and implements the sitesafety program to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and inaccordance with approved plans and procedures.
· Responsibilitiescommonly include administration of the Quality Control Plan, AccidentPrevention Plan (APP), inspections, documentation, corrective actions, andregulatory compliance.
· Candidate must be able to obtain aLevel 50 Access, this will be paid for by Client it takes roughly 6 months forthe investigation to be completed, candidate can start prior to with ourStandard BG and Drug Screening process.
· This person will be able to receivemileage reimbursement for the role as they will travel between the 2 NASAlocations.
· Some days they might be at one location2-3 days and the rest of the week the other location.
· Some weeks they will be at one locationthe whole week etc.
Important to have OSHA certification or OSHA/ Safety Trainings.
· This person will be responsible for thesafety checks of Client at the client site!
EssentialDuties and Responsibilities:
· QualityControl
· Implementand maintain the project Quality Control Plan.
· ConductPreparatory, Initial, and Follow-Up inspections for all Definable Features ofWork (DFOW).
· Verifythat materials, equipment, and workmanship conform to contract requirements andspecifications.
· Maintainquality control documentation, inspection reports, deficiency logs, testingrecords, and as-built documentation.
· Identifyand track non-conforming work and ensure corrective actions are completed.
· Coordinatequality inspections and testing activities with subcontractors, vendors, andproject stakeholders.
· Preparedaily QC reports and provide status updates to project management.
Safety& Health:
· Implementand enforce the project Accident Prevention Plan (APP) and Site Safety &Health Plan.
· Conductdaily jobsite safety inspections and audits.
· Leadsafety orientations, toolbox talks, and safety meetings.
· Developand review Activity Hazard Analyses (AHAs) for project activities.
· Investigateincidents, near misses, and injuries, and implement corrective actions.
· Ensurecompliance with OSHA, EM 385-1-1, site-specific requirements, and companysafety policies.
· Monitorsubcontractor safety performance and ensure proper use of personal protectiveequipment (PPE).
· Stopwork when unsafe conditions or practices are identified and coordinatecorrective actions.
