This position is a full-time hourly position working 40 hours per week and may include some evening and weekend hours.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Maintenance & Repairs: Maintain, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on building equipment, pool systems, plumbing, electrical, lighting, HVAC, boilers, and other facility assets.
- Safety & Compliance: Monitor facility conditions to help ensure a safe environment for members, staff, and guests, including fire protection systems, emergency procedures, security needs, chemical handling, and required maintenance standards.
- Facility Appearance & Grounds: Maintain interior and exterior appearance, including lighting, snow removal, and general upkeep of common areas.
- Vendor & Project Management: Coordinate service requests, maintenance tickets, contractors, supply orders, bids, repairs, inspections, and special facility projects to ensure work is completed efficiently and professionally.
- Budget & Resource Control: Support responsible use of maintenance resources by monitoring supplies, managing expenses, reducing waste, planning for equipment replacement, and helping identify future capital improvement needs.
Requirements
- Two years of education in a related field and/or 3+ years of experience in property maintenance, facility operations, building systems, or a related field.
- Working knowledge of maintenance and repair practices, including plumbing, electrical, lighting, HVAC, boiler operations, pool systems, and general building equipment.
- Ability to maintain safe facility conditions and follow applicable safety procedures, emergency practices, chemical handling standards, and compliance requirements.
- Experience supporting facility appearance and grounds upkeep, including cleanliness, lighting, snow removal, landscaping, and common-area maintenance.
- Strong organization and communication skills to coordinate vendors, contractors, supply orders, service requests, inspections, and facility projects.
- Ability to monitor maintenance supplies, control expenses, reduce waste, and assist with planning for equipment replacement and future capital improvement needs.
