Ministry Leader in Training – Aspiring Leader Program

Feel called to ministry? Come spend the next season being trained, mentored, and developed by experienced Adult & Teen Challenge leaders while gaining hands-on experience in nearly every area of ministry.

Adult & Teen Challenge of Texas is looking for Aspiring Leaders who have a heart to serve and a desire to grow into future ministry leadership.

This is much more than an internship. It is an immersive ministry leadership development program designed to give aspiring leaders hands-on experience while being intentionally trained, mentored, and developed by experienced Adult & Teen Challenge leaders.

Interns serve directly under our Department Heads and ministry leadership, rotating through key areas of Adult & Teen Challenge—including Admissions, Education, Development, Vocational/Work Experience, Maintenance, Kitchen, Campus Business, and Administration. The goal is to learn how the ministry operates from the ground up while developing the spiritual character and practical leadership skills needed for vocational ministry. This matches the internship's stated purpose of training future vocational ministers through mentoring, supervision, department rotations, and opportunities to participate in leadership.

Aspiring Leaders will also have opportunities to participate in monthly Coordinator Trainings, specialized ministry training, and additional training provided through our Corporate Office, while receiving ongoing development from campus leadership.

For individuals who desire a future with Adult & Teen Challenge, the internship can provide valuable preparation for future ministry opportunities. Completion of the internship does not guarantee employment, but the program is intentionally designed to develop individuals for vocational ministry and leadership.

This is a volunteer ministry internship, not a paid employment position. Interns receive room and board, meals, supervision, transportation to ATCOT events and special group outings, and access to most campus facilities. When an intern does not have outside support, the campus may also assist with basic essentials within reason.

We are looking for individuals who:

• Have a genuine desire to pursue vocational Christian ministry and leadership.
  
• Have a teachable spirit and a willingness to serve.
  
• Want to be trained, mentored, challenged, and developed by experienced ministry leaders.
  
• Are willing to serve under Department Heads and learn multiple areas of ministry.
  
• Desire to grow spiritually and develop practical leadership skills.
  
• Are willing to participate in biblical studies, ministry training, department rotations, weekly development meetings, outreach, and other required activities.
  
• Are willing to make the required commitment to the internship program.
  
• If applying from outside ATCOT, can provide at least two written recommendations, preferably from a pastor and mentor.
