Job Summary
The Grants and Fundraising Officer will work with the Project lead team to develop proposals for the various activities of the organization. This will entail identifying funding opportunities, preparing grant proposals, managing donor relationships, and ensuring strict compliance with reporting requirements to support organizational growth and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities
• Prospect Research & Pipeline Management: Proactively identify, track, and evaluate potential institutional donors, international development agencies, foundations, and corporate sponsors to build a robust funding pipeline.
• Proposal & Grant Writing: Work with Project lead to prepare and development of compelling grant proposals, concept notes, pitches, and budget narratives tailored to specific donor priorities and submission guidelines.
• Donor Relationship & Stewardship: Cultivate and maintain strong ongoing partnerships with existing and prospective funders through prompt communications, engagement, and regular updates on project progress.
• Grant Compliance & Reporting: Coordinate with program and finance teams to track grant performance, ensure adhere to donor terms, and deliver timely, accurate progress and financial reports.
• Interdepartmental Collaboration: Work closely with technical, program, and finance staff to gather data, translate program impact into compelling narratives, and develop realistic proposal budgets.
• Database & Record Management: Maintain up-to-date funding tracking systems, grant calendars, reporting schedules, and donor contact records to ensure smooth fundraising operations.
