The Role:Â
The Restaurant Sever is responsible for serving food and beverage items in a knowledgeable, friendly and helpful manner to all guests.Â
Â
What You Need:Â
Required:Â Â
2-5 years high volume experience in restaurant operationsÂ
Working knowledge of high-volume restaurant operations and safe, responsible alcohol service Â
Standard food preparation/presentationÂ
Skill in guest relationsÂ
Wine & Liquor knowledgeÂ
Ability to handle multiple tables at one time efficiently and with an upbeat, friendly attitude; read guests in order to anticipate their needsÂ
High School DiplomaÂ
Â
Preferred:Â Â
Point of Sales knowledge, preferably MICROSÂ
Â
Physical Demands/Working Environment:Â
Working environment is fast-paced, often loud and stressfulÂ
Position requires extended periods of prolonged standing and working on your feetÂ
Must be able to lift or move up to 25 lbs. using proper lifting techniquesÂ

What You’ll Do:Â
Greet all guests at tableÂ
Respond to guest inquiries regarding menu, wine list, Music HallÂ
Inform guests of daily specials and make recommendationsÂ
Suggestively sell menu items, beverages, desserts, etc.Â
Anticipate and respond to guest needsÂ
Respond to guest concerns/complaints regarding food or service and correct errors or resolve complaints with a friendly, positive attitudeÂ
Organize and prioritize service per appropriate service sequenceÂ
Take menu, beverage and bar orders from guests and communicate orders to kitchen and/or bar through micros terminalÂ
Check food orders prior to serving to ensure that they are correct, properly presented, and that special requests have been metÂ
Deliver food and beverages to tableÂ
Perform opening/running/closing duties according to HOB policyÂ
Maintain line of sight/atmosphere control by circulating through work area throughout shiftÂ
Ability to memorize menus and daily specialsÂ
Pre-bus tables: remove dirty plates, glasses, etc., from table once guest has finishedÂ
Clean spills on tables or around work areaÂ
Maintain HOB safety and sanitation standardsÂ
Prepare guest checks (on micros terminal) and check for accuracyÂ
Receive payment and process cash, credit card or traveler’s check transactionsÂ
Have knowledge of all music, promotional or special events in the houseÂ
Assist other servers or other employees as neededÂ
Required to occasionally work Special Events that are scheduled throughout the venueÂ
