This role involves guiding students through various stages of the writing process, offering constructive feedback, and fostering an environment that encourages learning and improvement. Key Responsibilities: - Assist students in understanding and applying writing techniques across different genres and formats. - Provide individualized feedback and guidance to students to enhance their writing abilities. - Collaborate with faculty and staff to identify student needs and tailor writing support accordingly. - Conduct workshops and seminars focused on specific writing skills and strategies. - Maintain up-to-date knowledge of writing standards and practices to ensure students receive current and relevant advice. - Encourage students to develop critical thinking and self-editing skills. - Track student progress and provide reports to faculty on student development and areas for improvement. - Foster a supportive environment that respects diverse perspectives and learning styles. QualificationsRequired Education: - Completion of Literacy Related Courses with a GPA of 3.0 or higher - Required knowledge of Composition & Rhetoric Required Experience: - Experience in teaching, tutoring, or academic coaching. - Experience working with diverse student populations in a higher education setting. Required Skills and Abilities: - Strong command of English language and grammar. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Ability to provide constructive feedback and guidance to students. - Proficient in using educational technology and online learning platforms. - Strong organizational and time-management skills. - Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. - Demonstrated commitment to fostering a supportive learning environment.
