Pay rate: $30.00 hourly

Responsibilities

Provide 1:1 respite care for families of a child or adult with developmental disabilities
Gastronomy Tube (g-tube) Care and Feeding
Take vital signs and administer medication
Trach Care (very rarely, do not need to have experience in this)
Check blood sugar and administer insulin injection
Seizure Management – may need to give medication if ordered and ensure safety
Document on nursing notes every visit
Be a support to clients and their family members
Monitor and report changes in client care and/or behavior

Qualifications

Active CA. LVN License
CPR certification
Physical within the last 6 months and recent TB test
Current TB test, current physical, Valid CPR card and First Aide (within 30 days of hire)
New grads welcome – can shadow an experienced nurse to gain confidence prior to taking a case on their own (paid)
Clear criminal background
