Job Summary:  

Sinter Operator 2 is responsible for advanced production procedures in the Sinter Room.  

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:  

  • Performs basic functions of the sinter room. 
  • Stacking parts from press
  • Making foil packs 
  • Cleaning trays and sinter boats
  • Assists with Sinter loads as needed
  • Performs major functions of the sinter room
  • Loading/unloading all furnaces/tubes
  • Building out loads
  • Heat Treating and Quenching
  • Measures blocks and records information
  • Is proficient with Epicor, Paradigm
  • Follows all CI Initiatives
  • Ability to prioritize work using work queue
  • Notifies GLof any equipment that is out of calibration or not working properly
  • Makes suggestions for more efficient product throughput.
  • Notifies GLof any work instructions or forms that are incorrect.
  • Maintains housekeeping standards. 
  • Follow all safety and quality standards. 
  • Ensure cleanliness of work area. 

 

Qualifications:  

•  High school diploma or equivalent 

•  2-3 years of manufacturing experience. 

•  Ability to read and interpret part prints. 

•  Basic troubleshooting skills.

Work Environment and Physical Demands:  

  • Works in a clean, well-lit production environment; requires protective footwear and eyewear. 
  • Regularly stands on cement floors with rubber mats; may involve sitting, stooping, bending, and walking. 
  • Capable of lifting and transporting an average weight of 10 lbs., up to a maximum of 40 lbs. 
  • Requires manual dexterity and near visual acuity. 
  • Ability to understand verbal instructions and comply with quality and safety regulations. 

Weekend Shift - Friday through Sunday 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM
Weekend Shift - 36 Hours
