Job Summary: Â
Sinter Operator 2 is responsible for advanced production procedures in the Sinter Room. Â
Â
Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Â
- Performs basic functions of the sinter room.Â
- Stacking parts from press
- Making foil packsÂ
- Cleaning trays and sinter boats
- Assists with Sinter loads as needed
- Performs major functions of the sinter room
- Loading/unloading all furnaces/tubes
- Building out loads
- Heat Treating and Quenching
- Measures blocks and records information
- Is proficient with Epicor, Paradigm
- Follows all CI Initiatives
- Ability to prioritize work using work queue
- Notifies GLof any equipment that is out of calibration or not working properly
- Makes suggestions for more efficient product throughput.
- Notifies GLof any work instructions or forms that are incorrect.
- Maintains housekeeping standards. 
- Follow all safety and quality standards. 
- Ensure cleanliness of work area.

Qualifications: Â
•  High school diploma or equivalentÂ
• 2-3 years of manufacturing experience.Â
•  Ability to read and interpret part prints.Â
•  Basic troubleshooting skills.Â

Work Environment and Physical Demands: Â
- Works in a clean, well-lit production environment; requires protective footwear and eyewear. 
- Regularly stands on cement floors with rubber mats; may involve sitting, stooping, bending, and walking. 
- Capable of lifting and transporting an average weight of 10 lbs., up to a maximum of 40 lbs. 
- Requires manual dexterity and near visual acuity. 
- Ability to understand verbal instructions and comply with quality and safety regulations. 
Weekend Shift - Friday through Sunday 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM
Weekend Shift - 36 Hours
