Summary:

As the Sr. Manager of Environmental, Health & Safety, you will lead a team dedicated to ensuring workplace safety and compliance with regard to state and federal occupational health and safety regulations and standards.

Responsibilities:

Oversee one or more plant-wide safety, health and/or environmental programs
Lead and manage the ISO 14001 certification process and lead the Environmental Compliance Team to drive continuous improvement in all environmental programs
Ensure effective hazard identification and mitigation for plant operations and administrative offices
Conduct daily line walks to ensure SH&E practices are being observed and to note any at-risk behaviors, unsafe conditions, faulty equipment or non-compliance with any SH&E related policies/regulations
Ensure timely communication of safety issues/concerns to department leadership
Lead cross-functional teams to drive improvements across the organization
Participate in incident investigations and track corrective actions
Conduct new equipment reviews, mechanical risk assessments and ergonomic risk assessments
Participate in emergency response drills and critiques
Conduct new hire orientation, contractor safety and other SH&E related training topics.
Develop/update site specific programs to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations
Conduct thorough and timely Layered Process Audits in appropriate work areas
Maintain cleanliness at work-site in accordance with 5S3R Standards:
- Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain
- Right Location, Right Quantity, Right Container
Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Engineering or related field; MBA or MS preferred, or equivalent, relevant experience

Professional certification (ASP/CSP, CIH, CHMM) preferred

Experience:

10 to 15+ years of experience evaluating and improving EH&S programs in a manufacturing environment
7 to 10+ years of experience leading and managing multiple processes

Experience managing ISO 14001:2015 certification
Strong knowledge of and experience working with OSHA, EPA and state/local regulations and requirements
Knowledge in advanced manufacturing technology, chemicals, and pneumatics a plus
