What we are looking for: 

 

Yazaki is looking for a Supervisor, Warehousing to join our team in Laredo, TX.  The ideal candidate will enjoy working in a collaborative and action-driven environment making lasting impacts on the organization.   

 

What you will be doing: 

 

This position is designed to give daily direction, provide feedback and coaching, and define departmental objectives in the following areas of a distribution center: parts control, warehousing, sequencing, repack, and inventory control. The Distribution Supervisor will also act as a communicator of processes, policies, and administrative issues. This position will also be tasked with providing an example for all associates, ensuring customer satisfaction and promoting continuous improvement. 

 

 

What you will bring to the table: 

 

  • Ensures proper training and related documentation for all department associates 

  • Plans associate work schedules 

  • Supervises direct reports 

  • Provides guidance, coaching and counseling 

  • Prepares associate evaluations 

  • Orders services, supplies, and minor equipment 

  • Prepares reports as required 

  • Manages operational expenses related to the facility or department 

  • Assists in the preparation and maintaining of annual budgets 

  • Contacts YNA internal and external customers directly 

  • Addresses and resolves customer issues and complaints 

  • Reports and resolves shortages, damages, and other discrepancies 

  • Assures that Customer Specific Requirements are met 

  • Maintains accurate department records and documentation 

  • Promotes and maintains a safe and clean working environment 

  • Ensures and oversees proper storage and maintenance of equipment 

  • Addresses and resolves associates’ administrative and personal issues and concerns 

  • Assists Facility or Department Manager as directed 

  • Assists management in meeting corporate and departmental goals and objectives 

  • Supports corporate policies and departmental policies 

  • Supports EMS/QMS policies and procedures 

  • Supports health and safety policies 

  • Associate must be able to relate to other people beyond giving and receiving instructions 

  • Knowledge and application of the following systems:  

  • Microsoft Office applications 

  • SAP 

  • Customer Specific Systems for Parts Control 

  • GQRS
