The Customs Entry Writer is responsible for filing entries with US Customs and other government agencies as well as interacting with importers, government agencies, truckers and warehouses via email and telephone.

The Customs Entry Writer is responsible for filing entries with US Customs and other government agencies as well as interacting with importers, government agencies, truckers and warehouses via email and telephone.

  • Classifyinggoodsaccordingtotariffcodingsystem. 

  • Preparing and processing import documentation according to customs regulations, laws, orprocedures. 

  • Arrangeforpaymentoftaxesanddutiesonshipments. 

  • Billcustomers 

  • Signdocumentsonbehalfofclients,usingpowersofattorney. 

  • Monitorortracethelocationofgoods. 

  • Assistclientsinobtainingbondsandothernecessarydocumentation. 

  • Arrangefortransportationorwarehousingofimportedproducts. 

QUALIFICATIONSANDEDUCATIONREQUIREMENTS 

  • 1plusyearsofexperienceinprocessingCustomsentriesinACE. 

  • UnderstandingofPGArequirements. 

  • Professionalcommunicationskills,bothverbalandwritten. 

  • ProvenunderstandingoftheCustomsentryprocessrequirementsandflow. 

  • Customerfocusedcan-doattitude.

PHYSICALREQUIREMENTS 

  • The position is in an indoor, office environment, requires the ability to communicate with internal andexternal customers or vendors verbally and in writing, sit for periods of time, operate typical officeequipmentwhich requires seeing andtheuse of akeyboard.
