This role involves analyzing historical data and forecasting future demand, as well as developing staffing plans and schedules that optimize the use of available resources. The Centralized Scheduling Planner monitors employee productivity and adjusts staffing levels and schedules as needed to ensure that service levels are met. Planners are also responsible for accurately tracking refusals/turndowns of shifts. Planners make use of all applications available to track and properly record information related to scheduling.Â
Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize weekly schedules for various departments based on business needs and labor standardsÂ
- Observe departments to understand business volumes and staffing needs/opportunitiesÂ
- Coordinate with department heads to ensure proper staffing levels and effective use of resourcesÂ
- Monitor and adjust schedules as needed to ensure optimal coverage and staffing levelsÂ
- Review and approve time-off requests, schedule changes, and shift swapsÂ
- Communicate weekly shifts available and scheduling changes to team membersÂ
- Collaborate with HR to ensure compliance with labor laws, company policies, and collective bargaining agreementsÂ
- Use Virtual Roster and UKG to manage scheduling standardsÂ
- Analyze scheduling data and make recommendations for improvements in efficiency and productivityÂ
- Assist the Scheduling Manager in all scheduling and administrative responsibilities for the assigned areas of the Property/RegionÂ
- Assist the Scheduling Manager with any special assignments, such as in-house training, reporting, or other administrationÂ
Qualifications
- Must be 21 years of age or olderÂ
- High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree preferredÂ
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a scheduling or administrative role, preferably in the gaming industryÂ
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with entry-level Excel knowledgeÂ
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skillsÂ
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; effective in both written and oral EnglishÂ
- Ability to work under pressure, handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and work independently or as part of a teamÂ
- Knowledge of labor laws, collective bargaining agreements, and related regulationsÂ
- Flexible schedule with the ability to work nights, weekends, varied shifts, and holidaysÂ
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to handle a heavy business volume, multitask responsibilities, and solve problems in a timely mannerÂ
- Must tolerate areas containing secondhand smokeÂ
- Must be able to lift and carry 25 pounds, bend, crouch, kneel, twist, and work at a desk/counterÂ
- Must respond to visual and aural cues and have manual dexterity to operate all office equipmentÂ
- Must be able to maneuver around the office and propertyÂ
- Must be adept at using a personal computer, phones, and copierÂ
