The Procurement Technician will be responsible for purchasing products according to system recommendations, tracking orders, developing lasting business relationships and negotiating prices with suppliers.

Your day will look like this:

  • Create Purchase Orders (PO) and track orders from suppliers (validate prices and delivery dates)
  • Active follow-up on vendor confirmations and expected delivery timelines
  • Assume the administrative functions related to procurement and replenishment activities (MRP Handling, Prepayment requests, sort various documents and perform data entry, etc.)
  • PO Pricing validation and adjustments
  • Negotiate returns with suppliers
  • Negotiate strategically and continuously with suppliers
  • Manage shortages & obsolescence
  • Work closely with internal clients
  • Be constantly looking for new products and / or suppliers
  • Maintain good relationships and strong partnerships with suppliers
  • Ensure compliance with the company's procurement policies and guidelines with suppliers
  • Perform any other related tasks required by the position

 

Your profile:

  • ACS or DCS in Procurement
  • Good understanding and knowledge of ERP, MRP systems
  • Speak, read and write French (preferred, not required)
  • Knowledge of Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Good organizational skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Teamwork oriented
  • Good ability to prioritize within tight deadlines
  • Ability to work under pressure and to adapt to change
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • Ability to problem solve
  • Good negotiation skills
  • Strong customer service skills
