Position Title:                                       Client Benefits Coordinator 

Supervised by:                                       Executive Director

Qualifications:      Bachelor Degree or other relevant degree (i.e. 2year accounting or financial services) and 2 years’ experience or 5 years’ experience in related position. Proven ability in administrative skills and working with/in a team.  Good communication, organization, and work ethic.   

Responsibilities: 

  1. Manage all residents/participants Public Benefits and Finances
  2. Handle all reviews and certifications from public sources
  3. Discuss all related issues with members of administrative team and family/caregiver personnel

Essential Job Functions 

  1. Public/Private benefits and Finances
  1. Manage funds for all clients in Accufund software – issue and monitor PNA, pay bills, complete deposits, reconcile at least monthly
  2. Manage ABLE savings accounts for all clients
  3. Manage Life insurance for all clients – ensure everyone has funds available for burial
  4. Manage Medicaid Waiver for all clients – ensure all are renewed in time and that resources remain within limits for eligibility
  5. Manage SNAP (food stamps) for all clients – cash in EBT cards each month

 

  1. Handle all reviews and certifications from public sources 

 

  1. Manage Social Security benefits including filing annual Rep Payee reports and Disability Reports for all clients, completing Social Security audits, applying for Rep Payee benefits for new clients
  2. Responsible for all public benefits of residents; Submit applications and re-certifications for 551, SSA, Annuities, Private funds.
  3. Handles all Contribution to Care (DDA) issues.
  4. Responsible for Waiver re-certification for participants
  5. Monitor resident monthly financial accounting 

 

  1. Discuss all related issues with members of administrative team and family/caregiver personnel

 

  1. Provide accounting of client funds to all interested parties
  2. Share fund balances with administrative staff or others for client proposed expenditures
  3. Obtain all required information for renewals or sign up from related parties.
