The Staff Pad is proud to partner with a leading healthcareorganization in Lawrence, MA, to recruit an Geriatric Primary CareAdministrative Coordinator to serve as a welcoming first point of contact forpatients and caregivers while helping keep daily practice operations runningsmoothly.
In this role, you’ll support scheduling, care coordination,preventive-care follow-up, and accurate documentation, allowing our cliniciansto focus on what matters most—providing high-quality, compassionate care toolder adults.

What You’ll Do
Key Responsibilities
- Schedule and confirm wellness visits, follow-ups, home visits, and transition-of-care appointments
- Make reminder calls and send electronic notifications
- Coordinate specialty referrals and help ensure timely appointments
- Assist patients and caregivers with patient portal navigation
- Monitor preventive-care gaps, including screenings and immunizations
- Proactively outreach to patients to help close care gaps
- Track risk-adjustment diagnoses and flag follow-up needs for the clinical team
- Welcome patients, answer calls, and respond to inquiries with professionalism
- Relay messages promptly and support a positive patient experience
- Verify insurance and review intake paperwork
- Administer patient screening questionnaires
- Scan and accurately index labs, consult notes, and hospital or ED reports into the EHR
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date patient records
- Support EMR document management and efficient patient flow
- Coordinate with clinicians, medical assistants, and care coordinators
- Assist with meeting coordination, note-taking, and follow-up tasks
- Provide day-to-day administrative support to keep practice operations running smoothly
What We Are Looking For
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Medical assistant training or certification preferred
- Previous medical office or healthcare experience required
- Geriatric care experience strongly preferred
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems
Additional Skills and Attributes
- Strong organization, accuracy, and follow-through
- Excellent and compassionate communication skills
- Empathy and patience when working with older adults and caregivers
- Understanding of primary care, preventive care, and basic insurance processes or willingness to learn
- Current valid driver’s license
- Spanish-speaking skills are a plus
