Job DetailsJob Location: Community Kids Place - Lawrence, MA 01843Salary Range: $17.00 - $17.00 HourlyJob Category: Early Childhood Education & CareThe Community Group (TCG) operates eight Community Kids Place (CKP) Out-of-School Time (OST) programs in Lawrence and Methuen, serving over 400 students in partnership with local school districts. CKP provides high-quality enrichment opportunities during the school year and summer, including field trips, project-based learning, collaboration with community partners, and extended time with school-day teachers. Aligned with the DESE 21st Century Community Learning Centers model, the program focuses on academic and social-emotional growth. All CKP sites are licensed by the Department of Early Education and Care, ensuring a safe, high-quality learning environment.   Role Summary As an Assistant Group Leader at CKP, you can gain experience in a fun and enriching environment. This position is ideal for high school students or any professional who is interested in developing classroom, youth development or mentoring skills. An ideal candidate will believe in the overall mission of TCG and serve as a leader to young students. Schedule: Part-time hours during the school-year 2:00pm-6:00pm, and full-time during school and summer vacations between 7:30am-5:30pm.   Responsibilities (include but not limited to): Provide a positive, safe, fun, and memorable quality experience to all children and families involved in TCG’s afterschool and summer programs; Provide a physically and emotionally safe and fun environment for children to thrive; Encourage children to participate in all activities and realize their full potential; Serve as a positive role model and mentor to children enrolled; Assist in maintaining and updating children’s health, safety and emergency records; Maintain an attitude of flexibility and assist the Site Coordinator/Director/Assistant Director in immediate and necessary tasks; Participate in staff meetings, parent meetings, workshops and on-going trainings; Complete all required certifications; and All other duties as assigned by your supervisor. Qualifications Minimum of 16 years old; Creative and fun personality to implement curriculum and activities; Evidence of physical examination within one year prior to employment; Evidence of immunizations against Measles, Mumps and Rubella; and Maintain current infant/child CPR and First Aid Certification. Successful completion of CORI, SORI and fingerprint scan in accordance with regulations set forth by the Department of Early Education and Care prior to employment;   The Community Group participates in the E-Verify program to determine the immigration and work-eligibility status of prospective employees.
