The role aims to enhance the physical, emotional, and social well-being of individuals by providing engaging and meaningful experiences that support their recovery and overall quality of life. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and coordinate a diverse range of activities tailored to the needs and interests of clients, ensuring inclusivity and accessibility for all participants. - Collaborate with clinical staff to integrate therapeutic goals into activity planning, aligning with individual treatment plans and objectives. - Schedule and oversee daily, weekly, and monthly activity programs, ensuring a balanced mix of recreational, educational, and therapeutic opportunities. - Facilitate group sessions and individual activities, providing support and encouragement to participants to foster engagement and participation. - Evaluate the effectiveness of activities and programs, gathering feedback from clients and staff to make necessary adjustments and improvements. - Maintain accurate records of activity participation, progress, and outcomes, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and procedures. - Manage resources, including equipment and materials, to support the delivery of high-quality activities, coordinating with vendors and suppliers as needed. - Assist in the training and supervision of volunteers and support staff involved in activity programs, promoting a collaborative and supportive team environment. - Promote a safe and positive atmosphere for all activities, adhering to health and safety regulations and protocols. - Engage with clients and their families to encourage participation and inform them about the benefits and goals of the activity programs. QualificationsRequired Education: - Associate's degree in Recreation, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field. A Bachelor's degree is preferred. Required Experience: - Minimum of 2 years of experience in organizing and coordinating activities within a behavioral health or similar environment. - Experience working with individuals with mental health challenges or developmental disabilities. - Proven track record of developing and implementing successful activity programs.
