Driver - Full-Time or Part-Time

Under the supervision of the Transportation Coordinator, the Driver is responsible for the safe and timely transportation of EveryAge PACE participants. This includes transporting participants to medical appointments and activities, as well as delivering meals, pharmacy items, and durable medical equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely transport participants to and from appointments, activities, and the PACE Center.
  • Assist participants boarding and exiting vehicles when needed.
  • Follow transportation schedules and communicate route changes with dispatch.
  • Conduct vehicle inspections and maintain records.
  • Maintain vehicle cleanliness and safety standards.
  • Deliver meals, medications, medical equipment, and other participant-related items.
  • Communicate participant needs and concerns to the interdisciplinary team.
  • Follow OSHA safety guidelines and program policies.
  • Participate in training, quality improvement initiatives, and team meetings.

Minimum Education

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Valid North Carolina Driver's License
  • Successful completion of defensive driving course within four (4) months of hire
  • CPR Certification required

Minimum Experience

  • At least one year of experience working with frail elderly individuals preferred
