SUMMARY:

 The HVAC Technician must be proficient with the repair, maintenance, and installation of heating, ventilating, air conditioning, air, steam distribution equipment and systems.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Must be in training and maintain a current Kentucky Journeyman HVAC license upon completion. Obtain a universal EPA certification. Gain proficiency with repair, maintenance and installation of heating, ventilating, air, steam distribution equipment and systems. Must be able to skillfully assemble, install, test, and maintain HVAC wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus and devices upon completion of training. Should be able to provide preliminary sketches and cost estimates for materials and services. Ableto interpret blueprints, piping and wiring diagrams.

PHYSICAL GUIDELINES:

 Physical guidelines include ability to move, traverse, position self, remain in a stationary position and negotiate steps for up to eight hours per day. Technician must be skilled in the operation of a variety of tools including measuring devices, power tools, and testing equipment. Must be able to work from ladders, scaffolds and roofs and be able to lift and move heavy objects.
