Job DetailsJob Location: Columbus, Oh - West Jefferson, OH 43162Fyda Freightliner Columbus is an Elite Support Certified dealer of new Freightliner trucks and Detroit Diesel vocational severe-service vehicles, and carries a large inventory of all-makes of pre-owned trucks. Fyda Freightliner Columbus is the largest retailer of new and used Expediters in the United States. Serving the Columbus transportation industry hub since 1985, we operate as a full-service commercial truck dealership and body shop. Technician Responsibilities: Completes service and repair assignments efficiently, safely, and correctly to pass quality inspections. Comply with company safety policies and procedures. Communicate directly with shop foreman regarding the status of the repair work. Continuously learn new technical information and techniques. Examines damaged vehicle and efficiently plans repair process. Works and communicates with others on vehicle repair status. Performs quality repairs while keeping on-time status in mind. Participates in all required safety meetings. Files, grinds, and sands repaired surfaces, using air tools and hand tools. Directs the work of an apprentice in the performance of tasks when needed, i.e., unusual problems or questions and explains procedures to assistant. QualificationsTechnician Qualifications: Team oriented, flexible, and focused on maintaining a high level of customer service. Working knowledge of shop equipment. Basic Heavy and Medium Duty Truck knowledge. Maintains sufficient personally owned tools. Ability to work independently. Detail oriented and quality driven.
