Qualifications and Skills:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Drafting, Tool Design or Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering
  • Proficiency in Engineering Drafting and Solid Modeling skills
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office application (Word, Excel, Email)
  • Willingness to learn and take on new technical responsibilities as assigned
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills for collaborative work environments
  • Previous experience in metal fabrication preferred but not required

 

Job Duties:

  • Design and develop tooling, including weld fixtures, machining fixtures, and inspection gauges
  • Review and verify customer-provided manufacturing files (.dxf files or 3D models) for accuracy and compatibility
  • Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to assist in drafting and modeling parts
  • Identify issues during the manufacturing process and collaborate with relevant departments to resolve and improve outcomes
  • Coordinate and communicate with internal departments such as engineering, production, and quality control
