Qualifications and Skills:
- Proficiency in engineering drafting and solid modeling software
- Ability to read and interpret technical blueprints and drawings
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook or similar email platforms)
- Prior experience in metal fabrication or related manufacturing environments preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members and contribute to group tasks
- Ability to learn new systems and processes as required by job responsibilities
Job Duties:
- Create and modify programs for sheet metal processing equipment, including laser cutters, punch presses, waterjet machines, and press brakes
- Review and verify manufacturing files provided by customers (.dxf files or 3D models) for compatibility and accuracy
- Interpret and apply information from blueprints and technical documentation
- Draft and model individual parts and components using appropriate software tools
