Job Details: Job Location: Logan Correctional Center - Lincoln, IL, Position Type: Full-Time, Education Level: High School Diploma/GED, Salary Range: Undisclosed, Travel Percentage: None, Job Shift: Day, Job Category: Dental Hygienist & Dental Assistant, Centurion is proud to be the provider of comprehensive services to the Illinois Department of Corrections. We are currently seeking a Full-time Dental Assistant (DA) to join our team at Logan CC in Lincoln, Illinois. The Dental Assistant works under the direct supervision of the Dentist and/or Dental Hygienist in chairside dentistry in a correctional setting. Essential duties include the following: Preparing and sterilizing dental instruments Preparing and maintaining the dental operatory Operating radiographic equipment Administrative tasks as neededShift: Mon-Fri 8a-4pPay rate: $24.84/hr startingQualifications: High school diploma or GED equivalent required  Completion of a technical school program in dental assisting or six (6) months of experience as a Dental Assistant required  Dental Assistant license or ability to obtain one required Certification as an expanded duty dental assistant preferred; if the candidate does not possess a current certificate, one must be obtained in the first year of employment  Certification and/or previous experience performing dental x-rays preferred  Must show/obtain current Purified Protein Derivative (PPD) documentation for tuberculosis screening Must be appropriately and actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check
