 Department: Tubing  Job Status: Full Time

                     FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Reports To: Operations Manager

 

Job Title: Tubing Planner Lindsay Ne, Plant

Job Summary:
The Tubing Planner is responsible for coordinating the planning, tracking, and shipment of tubing products. This role ensures accurate inventory management, efficient production planning, and proper documentation for all outgoing materials. The Tubing Planner works closely with production, sales, and logistics teams to meet customer requirements and maintain operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Run tubing reports as needed and track on time delivery.
  • Prepare load diagrams for each tubing shipment to ensure accurate and efficient loading.
  • Maintain and update inventory lists of stock items available for sale or cut-to-length processing.
  • Perform order entry for customer scrap sales, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Collect payments for all cash account transactions as needed.
  • Provide backup support for pick tickets and Bills of Lading (BOLs), Production Transactions in the absence of designated personnel.
  • Conduct pre-shipment walk-throughs, including:
    • Visual inspection of tubing
    • Verification of bundle quantities
    • Recording production dates and heat numbers for Material Test Reports
  • Collaborate with the Team Lead on production planning, including:
    • Steel availability
    • Mill rolling schedules
    • Status updates on cut-to-length orders
  • Assist with pre-inventory counts and annual inventory processes.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or technical degree preferred.
  • Experience in manufacturing, logistics, or inventory control is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments.
  • Proficiency in basic computer systems and data entry.
