Our managed inventory programs are designed to support manufacturing OEM’s with their engineered production material specifications, fulfillment, and quality requirements. 

 

Quality Inspector Description: The ideal candidate for the Quality Inspector will have Quality Control (QC) experience. This position can be fast paced and requires candidates to possess the ability to pay attention to detail to perform mechanical and visual receiving & shipping inspection on hardware, fasteners, fabrications, and electrical products within all degrees of complexity. Other Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

 

  • Performs receiving inspections of materials and products to verify conformance to customer requirements, engineering drawings, specifications, and workmanship standards.
  • Verifies product quantity, identification, revision level, and accompanying documentation against purchase orders, packing slips, and customer requirements.
  • Reviews supplier documentation, Certificates of Conformance (CoC), material certifications, special process certifications, and test reports for completeness and compliance.
  • Conducts dimensional and visual inspections utilizing calibrated measuring and test equipment, including calipers, micrometers, height gages, thread gages, and other inspection tools.
  • Performs AQL sampling inspections and records inspection results in accordance with established quality procedures and customer requirements.
  • Documents, identifies, segregates, and controls nonconforming material in accordance with established NCMR and quality management system procedures.
  • Applies product acceptance status and verifies inspection records, certifications, and documentation accuracy prior to release.
  • Interprets engineering drawings, specifications, bills of material, and customer quality requirements to ensure product compliance.
  • Supports root cause investigations, corrective actions, containment activities, and customer quality inquiries as required.
  • Maintains inspection records and quality documentation in compliance with ISO 9001, AS9100, customer requirements, and internal procedures.
  • Coordinates calibration activities for inspection and test equipment and verifies calibration status prior to use.
  • Supports internal, external, customer, and registrar audits by providing objective evidence and participating in audit activities.
  • Works closely with Operations, Warehouse, Purchasing, Engineering and Customer Quality teams to ensure timely disposition of quality-related issues.
  • Follows all quality procedures, work instructions, safety requirements, and customer-specific requirements to ensure product integrity and compliance.

 

 

Quality Inspector Requirements: The Quality Inspector should preferably possess a high school diploma or GED and have a valid driver’s license. The Quality Inspector should preferably possess previous inspection or quality control experience while performing the physical demands associated with a warehouse environment. This includes standing continuously, lifting up to 75lbs unassisted and repetitive use of hands/manual dexterity. The Quality Inspector should possess the ability communicate effectively with co-workers, organize and prioritize job tasks to aid in satisfying customer requirements. In addition the ideal Quality Inspector should preferably possess the following:

 

  • Associate Degree/Trade School (2 yr. min.) in Quality/Material Composition, Non-Destructive testing or equivalent program
  • 2-years work experience in Industrial or Distribution environment or equivalent experience
  • Familiar with interpretation of engineering drawings / specifications, and manufacturing process evaluation
  • Previous ISO Quality Systems experience 
  • Previous Global Company experience
  • Quality Certification
  • Statistics training & experience
  • Working Knowledge of and application of UL/CE/CSA/IEC/ASTN/ANSI and other relevant Global Regulatory Codes
