The Safety Director will join the hiring client's leadership team and lead the day to day safety operation for active

utility work while supporting consistent standards, reporting, compliance, and field performance across Colorado.

The role partners with executive leadership, operations, construction management, utility customers,

subcontractors, and field teams to deliver safe and successful projects.

This is an active operational leadership position. The successful candidate will balance program strategy with

regular field engagement, team development, accountability, and practical problem solving.


CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide leadership and oversight for transmission, distribution, and substation construction and maintenance

activities throughout Colorado.

• Lead daily safety operations supporting overhead and underground utility work, substation work, EPC delivery,

new construction, and maintenance projects.

• Directly manage approximately 12 to 15 safety professionals, including regional safety leadership, and

establish clear expectations for performance and accountability.

• Mentor, coach, and develop safety personnel while building a capable, consistent, and engaged safety team.

• Partner with the hiring client's executive leadership, operations, construction management, and utility

customers to integrate safety into planning, execution, and project delivery.

• Ensure compliance with OSHA requirements, utility customer standards, the hiring client's policies, and project

specific safety expectations.

• Lead or oversee field audits, risk assessments, incident investigations, root cause analysis, corrective actions,

and lessons learned.

• Evaluate safety performance data and field trends, communicate practical findings, and implement measurable

improvement actions.

• Support major utility capital programs involving multiple projects, contractors, and subcontractors while

maintaining strong working relationships.

• Serve as a visible and credible safety leader who can engage executives, utility customers, project managers,

superintendents, contractors, and craft personnel.
