He is generally quiet, easy going, and kind. He enjoys watching his favorite shows, anything Christmas, and listening to music/ bands. He is nonverbal and communicates using sounds, gestures, body language, and facial expressions. He benefits from someone who can encourage and support him to maintain his skills for independent living and communication. He and his family are looking for a dedicated staff to provide him with support and assist him with maintaining his independence both at home and in community settings. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to assisting with transportation, meal preparation, assisting with Personal Care, and transferring. We are looking for individuals who are reliable, patient, and friendly. Prior experience a plus but not required- Guidance on activities and training will be provided by the family in conjunction with the agency supervisor. Valid NYS driver's license and a reliable vehicle required. Pay Rate: $22.50/hour; All new hires must complete a five-hour initial training course online; the training rate is $17/hour. Hours: Up to 10 hours/ week; Weekend availability preferred. Flexible schedule if necessary for the right fit. Indera is an Equal Opportunity Employer. Must have technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community and abide by ARISE/EFR'S technology policy.
