Job DetailsJob Location: Loleta, CA 95551Position Type: Part TimeEducation Level: Not SpecifiedTravel Percentage: NoneJob Shift: AnyJob Category: Customer ServiceTribal Preference will be given in accordance with BRBRR Act Relating to Employment   POSITION SUMMARY:  Perform dealing services at assigned tables in accordance with established policies and procedures, while maintaining security of the cards, equipment and the bankroll.   ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:   Provide prompt, courteous, and accurate dealing at assigned table.   Maintain continuous security of assigned game at all times.   Exchange customer’s currency for gaming cheques. Ensure the safety of all cheques and cash with which entrusted.   Ensure adherence to established rules, policies and procedures.   Always conduct yourself in a manner that reflects credit on Bear River Casino Resort and encourage others to do the same.   Report to and receive direction from the Floor Person or Shift Supervisor in a positive manner.   You are required to work until relieved, and maintain a positive attitude whenever on the gaming floor.   Flexibility in shift assignments.   Other duties may be assigned.   AUTHORITY/SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:  None   QualificationsQUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.     EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma or GED, required. Must complete the Bear River Casino dealing class and pass an audition on Blackjack, Spanish 21, Roulette, and/or Poker. Experienced dealers must pass an audition on Blackjack, Spanish 21, Roulette, and/or Poker.   CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: None   COMPUTER OPERATIONS Basic personal computer skills including electronic mail, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc.   LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.   MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.   REASONING ABILITY: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.   OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Ability to operate standard office equipment (copier, fax, etc.). Must be able to work with American Indian people and be sensitive to their culture. Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human Resources. Participate in proactive team efforts of Bear River Casino Resort. Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill. Must be able to work all shifts, weekends, holidays & special events as needed.
