About the Role:

The 1st Shift, Monday through Thursday 5:00am-2:00pm, Friday 5:00am-9:00am, PEM Machine Operator plays a critical role in the manufacturing process by operating and maintaining precision equipment used to produce high-quality parts. This position ensures that production targets are met efficiently while adhering to safety and quality standards. The operator will monitor machine performance, make necessary adjustments, and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime. Collaboration with team members and supervisors is essential to maintain smooth workflow and continuous improvement. Ultimately, this role contributes directly to the company's ability to deliver reliable products to customers on schedule.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience operating manufacturing machinery, preferably PEM machines or similar equipment.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Ability to work the 1st shift schedule reliably.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification or training in machine operation or manufacturing processes.
  • Experience with preventive maintenance and minor machine repairs.
  • Familiarity with safety standards and best practices in a manufacturing environment.
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and production tracking.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Set up, operate, and monitor PEM (Precision Engineering Manufacturing) machines during the 2nd shift to produce components according to specifications.
  • Perform routine inspections and quality checks on parts to ensure compliance with engineering drawings and quality standards.
  • Adjust machine settings and tooling as needed to maintain product quality and production efficiency.
  • Identify and troubleshoot mechanical or operational issues promptly to reduce downtime and maintain production flow.
  • Maintain accurate production records and report any deviations or concerns to the shift supervisor.
  • Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams to support continuous process improvements.
