As a Project Engineer for Michels Preconstruction Services, Inc. Michels Mission Critical your role would be to support preconstruction, internal coordination, project plan reviews and documentation control across both development and active project phases to for the Mission Critical program and project teams. You will focus on data center site construction and operate in a fast-moving project environment.

What it takes:

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management or civil engineering or related and 5+ years of related experience in Construction, or equivalent combination of both
  • Exposure to data center construction or large campus/infrastructure developments preferred
  • Experience supporting data center site development or heavy civil construction associated with data center campuses or similar large-scale site developments preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and civil plans
  • Familiarity reviewing CAD drawings
  • Experience working in Procore or similar construction management platforms
  • Ability to perform basic takeoffs from plans
  • PE or Engineering experience desired but not required
  • Ability to identify deliverables, work with internal team members to generate proposal documents, and provide quality review prior to customer deadlines
  • Ability to review technical documents, coordinate with internal teams, and support project-specific planning and documentation
  • Must possess a valid driver license for the type(s) of vehicles which may be driven and an acceptable driving record
  • Travel up to 50% is required
