The Tundish Build Operator is responsible for the daily activity of building and breaking down of the tundishes used in the Vacuum Furnaces. The Operator will work with the Vacuum Melters to maintain the correct specifications and quantity of tundishes based upon the available melt plan.

Build tundishes for the vacuum furnaces based upon the most current melt schedule provided.
Break down used or spent tundish to supply metal shells for tundishes to be built
Sort refractory from the used furnace linings and tundishes to be reused in tundishes
Maintain proper inventory of consumables.
Routinely apply knowledge and skills to troubleshoot and optimize effectiveness of product in the best efficient manner.

Salary range based on experience: $25.76/hr-$27.82/hr
