What You'll Be Doing

The Associate Head of Planning develops and implements comprehensive financial plans and strategies tailored to clients' goals and needs. This role provides investment advice, retirement planning, risk management, and tax optimization services. This position collaborates with clients to assess financial situations, set objectives, and monitor progress to ensure long-term financial security and growth.

What We're Looking For

  • Lead advanced financial planning engagements.
  • Design estate and wealth transfer strategies.
  • Model liquidity-event outcomes.
  • Integrate life insurance solutions into tax and estate frameworks.
  • Collaborate with attorneys, CPAs, and investment bankers.
  • Support complex founder liquidity planning initiatives.

What You'll Bring

  • Strong knowledge of advanced estate planning techniques.
  • Solid understanding of irrevocable trusts, estate freezes, gifting strategies, and tax mitigation structures.
  • Working knowledge of permanent life insurance products (i.e., whole life, universal life, ILIT design, premium financing concepts).
  • Ability to apply structural thinking.
  • Ability to be precise and possess high attention to detail.
  • Ability to translate complex ideas and processes into clear, understandable language.
  • Demonstrate high professionalism and intellectual rigor.
  • Demonstrate a collaborative mindset.

Education & Experience

  • Minimum Required: Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum Required: 5+ years of experience in high-net-worth planning.
  • Preferred: Experience designing and modeling insurance solutions as part of broader planning architecture.

Licenses & Credentials

  • Minimum Required: Series 7 and 66 (or 63 and 65 in lieu of 66).
  • Minimum Required: Life, Health, and Long-Term Care Insurance Licenses.
  • Minimum Required: Certified Financial Planner (CFP®).

Systems & Technology

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Proficient with financial planning software and portfolio reporting tools.

Compensation Range

Salary: USD $104,500.00/Yr. - USD $160,000.00/Yr. Actual salaries may vary, and may be based on several factors, including but not limited to each candidate’s qualifications, skills, and overall competencies for the position. The base salary is one component of Stifel’s overall compensation package for each individual employee.
